to see the men they’re coming to see it with, dressed in pink, cheering them on, taking their pictures with smiles and cheers in the lobby at the photo op

I can’t say any nuances of the movie that haven’t already been said, but like, fuck man, love is so deep and so kind and to be able to see glimpses of it from behind my little ticket desk makes me a little less nihilistic.

He’s going to go back to the UK (The country where the roots of Malaysia’s laws and government started during colonisation!) and sit his privledged ass down, not caring about him losing fans in Malaysia because we only portion to a miniscule amount of his money.
If he really cared about our rights as queer malaysians, he would have contacted the LGBTQ NGOs and offered his assistance to protest. Not speaking up over our voices. Not mocking a Malaysian Queer who dm'ed him being rightfully upset. Not posting mocking Malaysia (and only West Malaysia! Shows how little he cares) Not saying, “I’ll take your money” then fucking off (Many queer Malaysians were probably at GVF as well!)
We have the right to be concerned, government elections are coming up, and the right wing extremist party WILL use this as ammo against us.

i honestly love the trend to dress up in silly little outfits for events like going to a movie or a concert. like yes besties go all out on that eras tour outfit. dress up in pink from head to toe for the barbie movie. love to see it
